Real Madrid vs Barcelona Preview

Arguably the biggest football derby in the world, Real Madrid host rivals Barcelona for the 7th time this year tomorrow evening.

With ‘The Special One’ leading Madrid to their 15th consecutive victory after seeing off Ajax in the midweek Champions league tie equaling a 41-year-old club record, this encounter looks set to be an exhilarating spectacle.

However, if league stats are anything to go by, Barcelona may just shade this one as favourites considering the last time Madrid defeated their nearest and dearest in the league was back in May 2008.

Pep Guardiola‘s derby record tells its own story having claimed seven victories, three draws, and only one loss since he took charge in 08’.

Both squads clearly host an array of world-class talent, however, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo lead the way for their outfits on the scoring front with both strikers tied in the league each racking up 17 goals to date.

Kick off tomorrow is set for 21:00 GMT with coverage live on Sky Sports 1.
