The draw for next summer’s Euro 2012 tournament has been made with England and the Rep Of Ireland facing tricky opposition.
That being said, England on paper have faired slightly better facing up against Euro 2000 winners, France in their opening tie with games against the co-host Ukraine and Euro 92 semi-finalists Sweden to follow.
Giovanni Trapattoni leads the Republic into battle against the World and European football champions Spain, Slaven Bilic’s Croatia and his fellow countrymen, Italy.
However, all eyes come June next year will be on the almighty, Group Of Death. World Cup runners-up, Holland, lead the pack alongside Portugal, Germany and Denmark.
Co-hosts Poland will play Greece, Russia, Czech Republic in Group A.
